Leadership Team

Every day, the team at Optimizer HQ is pushing the outermost boundaries of technology and innovation to produce ground-breaking stuff; you don’t produce such “stuff” unless you have exceptional talent, drive, motivation and super-human creativity. Hence, the people that lead the team at Optimizer have the ability to stack up well against their contemporaries in their own right.

Optimizer's Leadership Team is headed by CEO Manas Kumar and currently made up of the following people.

Lawrence Sami, Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Lawrence is a chartered accountant whose career spans 30 years in finance, accounting, investments, financial services, factoring, sales & marketing. He started his career with Coopers & Lybrand (Chartered Accountants - now Price Waterhouse Coopers) then moved into the commercial arena in senior management financial roles, more prominently as Group Financial Controller for TGE group of companies, Group Financial Controller/Company Secretary for Datamatic Group of Companies; both technology industry leaders in their era and Director of Finance for the Auckland District Law Society.

Lawrence then went on to assist one of the largest global finance companies in 2010, to roll out their factoring finance venture as a white label opportunity in New Zealand. In 1999 Lawrence was awarded a Silver Apex Award and he is currently in the process of completing a MBA with Southern Cross University of Australia.

Lawrence brings into Optimizer HQ a dogged tenacity to achieve results combined with the professional skills and industry background to make things happen. He sees the future of Optimizer HQ at the centre of the world stage listed on the various leading world stock exchanges.

Cornelis Boertjens, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Cornelis is a leading Internet Marketing Strategist with over 10 years of experience building online companies and optimising their websites (he is also a Google Analytics Qualified Individual).

His diverse business skills focus on building brands and products, growing ambitious (start-up) businesses and managing international expansion. He specialises in creating online business concepts and digital marketing strategies. Key to the success of this is implementing effective website conversion strategies.

Before joining Optimizer HQ as its Chief Marketing Officer, Cornelis Co-Founded several other successful business, including The Village Square, which is one of the world’s first dedicated Word Of Mouth Marketing agencies and OrangePeel Systems, the global market leader in “next generation” visualisation systems. Cornelis is also a sought after Marketing speaker on the TEC (The Executive Connection) circuit.

Jaron Turnbull, Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Jaron brings technological clout to the OptimizerHQ lead team with an indepth understanding and authourity in C/C++, Java (SE, EE, ME, Android), PHP, Flex/AS3, HTML5, Linux/ UNIX: Scripting, Automation, Design/Architecture, Deployment, Administration, Security Systems analysis and Design.

Jaron has the challenging responsibility of keeping the OptimizerHQ networks and systems running smoothly and constantly building things to make them even better. So supreme is his understanding and knowledge of technology that when something gets rather technical and needs to be fixed Jaron is the first point of call.

Jaron started writing code at the age of twelve and started using linux as his preferred OS by age sixteen. This means he has a total of 15 years experience, with 8 years in the commercial field.

Professionally Jaron is passionate about two things: Working with the latest cutting-edge technology and building online systems that do something new and innovative.

On a personal note, for relaxation, Jaron enjoys rock-climbing.

Fred Oloapu, Chief Relationship Officer (CRO)

Fred brings over 20 years experience in the IT industry to the OptimizerHQ lead team with roles in software development, software support and maintenance. Fred has a unique ability to understand the support issues from a programmers perspective and through his dealings with customers over this period can now translate this across to a customer support focus.

Coming from a programming background and possessing an excellent blend of technology knowledge and customer need awareness Fred brings a depth of reality based talents and skills to the lead team of OptimizerHQ.

As with all members of the lead team, Fred possess an ability to solve problems on the run and deliver IT solutions that work for people. This comes about as a result of his being able to look at an issue, lift it away from all the noise, then find the path forward.

Fred has a straight forward view point on the importance of delivering outstanding customer service. “People buy and use our products because they have a need. Ensuring that they can use our products,with ease, to gain maximum return to their business will ensure, our products success, leading to Optimizer HQ’s success.

I am most excited about where we can take our products and where our products can take our customers businesses. I believe that our products have huge potential yet to be realised.”

Fred is a proud father and says his personal goal is to ensure his children have the opportunity to reach their full potential. To open the doors so they might have more options in life.
